NB Tunnel 2 

The NB Tunnel 2 is situated on the Cairo Ring Road between the Suez Road and Kattamia intersections.

Hassan Allam Co. were the main contractor with Misr for Reinforced Cement subcontractor for the works.

BASF provided support for the project by supplying Rheobuild 875 superplasticier and Pozzolith LD10 M retarder / plastciser to ease concrete placement.

Masterflex 610, preformed, swelling gasket, was placed in construction joints to stop any passage of water in these critical areas.

Sonolastic NP1 and Masterflex 700 joint sealants were also used to protect expansion joints.

The Ring Road has eased traffic congestion in Cairo and has enabled residents to travel easily around the expanding city.
