BASF Launches Retail Range 

BASF Construction Chemicals Egypt launched its retail range in a ceremony held at Marriott Zamalek on 23 March 2008. The ceremony, which was attended by 150 distributors and retailers from all over Egypt, aimed to introduce retailers to the new range and outline BASF's retail strategy in Egypt.

Mr. Paul Hamlett, Managing Director of BASF Construction Chemicals Egypt, first introduced BASF with its different divisions highlighting its strengths and contribution to the various fields of the chemicals industry. Then Eng. Rehab Shehab, Specification Manager, outlined the chemicals construction range. Finally, Eng. Bassem Moustafa, Technical Manager and Plant Manager, focused on the retail range identifying the products, their features and uses. The floor was then opened for discussion, which was followed by lunch.

The new retail range comprises 11 products, including two new products (RHEOMIX 222, and RHEOMIX 350). The other nine products already exist in the regular range but will be offered to the retail market in smaller packages.
