Once again the team at the European R+D center have moved forward the technology available to produce better results for concrete producers.
Glenium was the "State of the Art" technology, but this has been further enhanced by the introduction of Glenium Sky using "Nano technology".
Concrete producers can now offer more solid guarantees that concrete produced at ready-mix batching plants is what the client will get in the cured state on site.
Glenium Sky allows for batching concrete at low water cement ratios with a high slump, maintaining the slump over extended travelling times, and with careful mix design for each job easier placing ensuring the insitu concrete produced is of a higher quality.
Although slump retention is better than any other commercially available product, Glenium Sky will not give the unwanted retardation associated with long slump retention and so allows for earlier removal of formwork, allowing construction to proceed at faster rates and minimising downtime of formwork employed.

To launch Glenium Sky in the Orient and Africa region, BASF Egypt hosted delegates of Degussa Construction Chemicals from Dubai, Saudi Arabia, India, North Africa, Turkey, Greece, Jordan and Abu Dhabi.
A two day conference was held at the Marriott Mirage hotel at which the European R+D team headed by Dr. Mario Corradi presented papers on the structure and working of Glenium Sky
To confirm the exceptional performance of Glenium Sky, trials were conducted in association with Ready-mix Beton, a major local Ready-mix supplier.
Trials confirmed the superior retention of the Glenium Sky, against other state of the art admixtures, and also confirmed that compressive strength gained at early ages was comparable to state of the art admixtures designed to provide higher earlier strengths.
Glenium Sky has been engineered to take advantage of all the positive aspects of conventional admixtures and to remove the unwanted negative aspects that are sometimes associated with conflicting properties of conventional admixtures.
