MBrace Seminars 

BASF Egypt organised two seminars, one in Cairo and the other one in Alexandria, for 30 consultants and contractors in each seminar, during the period 28-30 January. The first seminar, held at Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel, Cairo, was divided into four sessions:

• Mr. Camil De Smet, General Manager, S&P Clever Reinforcement Company AG, talked about MBT-MBRACE FRP Systems
• Dr. Amr Abd El Rahman, Dept. of Structural Eng., Ain Shams University, Egypt, discussed the Use of Advanced Composite Materials in Egypt
• Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mahfouz, Dept., of Structural Eng., Zaqaziq University, Shubra, Egypt, gave a lecture entitled The Egyptian Code for Practice of FRP
• Assist. Prof. Salah Abd El Gawad, RC Dept., Housing & Building Research Centre, talked about Sheer, Flexural Behaviour RC Beams with & without Opening Strengthened Using CFRP
